1. Door types: Surface closing, Face frame and Inset
Recycologic bins are designed to be installed ONLY in cupboards with SURFACE CLOSING type doors. The reason is as follows:- the side panels of the bin mounted on the door rest against stops when the door is fully opened and the geometry of these panels has been designed to work specifically with Blum hinges and surface closing type doors. Using different hinges or changing the door position will either prevent the stops from working or will jam the panels against the stops as the door is opened.

SURFACE CLOSING DOOR
Cupboard edges NOT VISIBLE when the door is shut - the door covers the front of the cupboard as it closes against it.
Cupboard / door type are COMPATIBLE with Recycologic bins.
FACE FRAME DOOR
Cupboard edges are MAINLY VISIBLE when the door is shut - the door rests against the front of the cupboard, or may be partially set into the frame, and the door overlaps the frame a just a little.
Cupboard / door type are NOT COMPATIBLE with Recycologic bins.
INSET DOOR
Cupboard edges are COMPLETELY VISIBLE when the door is shut - the front face of the door closes flush with the cupboard fascia.
Cupboard / door type are NOT COMPATIBLE with Recycologic bins.

2. Glass doors
Recycologic bins must not be installed in cupboards with glass doors or doors with glass panels. While making use of the compacting action of the bin, the user will apply pressure to the door and glass therefore poses a risk if it were to break.

3. Panel doors
The drawing shown below shows the minimum dimensions on the inner face of the door if you are using a panel type door.

4. Cupboard dimensions
Please check that your cupboards comply with the required dimensions shown in the table below.back
5. Door openers You can use any type of door opener you like - fit the same handles, knobs or rails used in the rest of the kitchen.
If the door is opened using a profile along the top edge of the door, please check the diagram below to make sure that the dimensions of your profiled edge are compatible. If the profile is too deep, the chromed magnetic catch plate may be set lower on the door, and correspondingly, the catch magnet be lowered using a spacer to set it below the top rail of the cupboard by the same amount.

6. Pedal - SLIDE MODELS ONLY
The pedal is the only part of the bin that is visible when the door is shut. A pedal is supplied with every SLIDE kit but may be omitted if it is felt that the appearance of the brushed stainless steel is incompatible with the design of the kitchen.back
7. Door Adjustments
All models have adjustment for:-- height of the door relative to the cupboard (5mm total)
- sideways adjustment (6mm total
- vertical alignment of the door (approximately 15mm total)
- distance between door and cupboard at top (4mm)
- distance between door and cupboard at bottom (4mm)
- spring tension for different door weights(lightweight panel doors to high density solid doors) SLIDE MODELS ONLY.

8. Hinge holes
Do not cut holes for hinges in the door - the hinges are attached to the door via the bin chassis. For details on machining holes for hinges and all other fixings, please refer to points 9. and 10. below.back
9. Installation under a sink
Here we give you dimensions for the bins and some typical cupboard unit dimensions. Designs vary so it is IMPORTANT that you check your own cupboard dimensions prior to starting installation to make sure that everything is going to fit.Basic rules are:-
- 1. use a sink with the waste outlet towards the back rather than the centre.
- 2. check the height of your cupboard and the depth of your sink and compare them to the drawing to make sure that you will end up with enough room to get your hand comfortably between the bottom of the sink and the top of the bin - this is necessary for fitting the liners.

10. Cupboards without a top wooden rail at front
If your cupboard does not have a top wooden rail at the front but has either a metal rail or curved profile, you may not be able to mount the catch bracket in the normal way. A simple solution to this is to use the Catch Bracket Adapter Kit.back
11. Manufacturers using CNC machinery to prepare doors and cupboards
If all the fixing holes are to be pre-drilled using a CNC router, please contact us for a copy of the CNC installation guide, engineering drawings and DXF files to help program your machines.back
12. Manufacturers not using CNC machinery
If you are NOT using CNC machinery, then please contact us for a copy of the planning and installation manual. The kits come with a drill template that makes drilling the holes easy and precise.back
